Eugen Schmidt – Lounge Chair – Set of 2 – Soloform – 1960s

These extremely rare pair of lounge chairs, designed by Eugen Schmidt for Soloform, are in good condition. The leather seating harmonizes very nicely with the wood of the armrests. The leather of both armchairs is in good condition, but has small cracks on the headrest of one of the chairs. They are very comfortable to sit on.  The wood has slight signs of wear and shows a beautiful play of colours. The armchairs have a swivel function, but do not tilt.

These armchairs come from the pen of the German architect Eugen Schmidt, who designed several design icons for Soloform in the 1960s. Among other things, Eugen Schmidt furnished the Chancellor’s bungalow with furniture. Price is for the set of 2.
