Swedish Vintage

Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 5 October 2026

These terms apply to purchases made through the Swedish Vintage website and to your use of our website. They are written for clarity and do not limit any rights that consumers have under mandatory Dutch or EU law.

1. Who we are

The webshop is operated by Swedish Vintage VOF, trading as Swedish Vintage, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KVK) under number 87205769.

Nieuwkuijksestraat 29, 5253 AC Nieuwkuijk, the Netherlands

2. Vintage items and product information

Our collection consists mainly of vintage and pre-owned pieces. Each item is unique and may show signs of age or use. We describe and photograph items as carefully as possible, including known wear or defects that matter to the purchase. The item description, photographs, age, condition and any defects specifically disclosed form part of the product information. Screen settings can affect how colours appear.

Please contact us before ordering if you need additional measurements or condition details. Nothing in this section removes your statutory rights if an item does not conform to the agreement.

3. Prices, availability and orders

Prices are shown in euros. Any applicable taxes and delivery charges are shown during checkout or included in a written quotation before you place or confirm an order. Large or specialist shipments may be quoted individually. We will not add undisclosed charges after you have placed your order.

Products are subject to availability. A contract is formed when we accept your order and send an order confirmation, or when we confirm a separately arranged sale in writing. If an obvious pricing or listing error is discovered before acceptance, we will contact you so you can decide whether to proceed at the correct price. If we cannot agree, any amount already paid will be refunded.

4. Payment

Available payment methods are the methods shown at checkout or agreed with you in writing for an individually arranged order. Payment is due using the method and timing stated at checkout or in your order confirmation. Your order confirmation will show the amount due, including any agreed delivery charge.

5. Delivery and collection

Delivery options, costs and any delivery estimate are shown at checkout or agreed with you in a written quotation before the order is confirmed. Collection is available only where this has been agreed. If no delivery period has been agreed, we will deliver within the period required by applicable law. If delivery is delayed, you may use the remedies available under that law.

For consumer purchases, the goods remain at our risk until you, or a person you nominate (other than the carrier), takes physical possession of them. This does not affect your rights if goods arrive damaged or do not match their description; please contact us promptly so we can help resolve the issue.

6. Your right to cancel an online purchase

If you are a consumer and buy at a distance, you can usually cancel your purchase within 14 days without giving a reason. For goods, the period begins on the day after you (or someone you nominate, other than the carrier) receive the goods. Where an order is delivered in separate items or lots, the period starts after you receive the last item or lot. Statutory exceptions may apply in specific cases.

To exercise this right, send us a clear statement before the period expires by email to info@swedish-vintage.com. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to. Please return the goods within 14 days after telling us you are cancelling. Unless we have agreed to collect the goods, you pay the direct return costs only where this was disclosed before purchase. For large items, we will tell you the expected return cost where it cannot reasonably be returned by ordinary post.

We will refund the amount paid for the returned goods and the standard outbound delivery cost (if charged) within 14 days after you notify us of your cancellation. We may wait until we have received the goods or you have provided evidence that you sent them back, whichever happens first. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we only need to refund the cost of the least expensive standard option offered. You may handle the goods as needed to inspect their nature, characteristics and functioning; a reduction in value may apply if they are handled beyond what is necessary.

7. Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described items

Your statutory consumer rights apply if an item is faulty or does not conform to the agreement. Because our items are vintage or pre-owned, the reasonable expectations take account of the product description, age, price, disclosed condition and any specifically disclosed defects. A defect that was not disclosed and goes beyond normal, described wear is not excluded by these terms. Contact us at info@swedish-vintage.com with your order details and, if useful, photographs so we can assess the issue and explain the available remedy.

8. Website use and intellectual property

Text, photographs, logos and other material on this website belong to Swedish Vintage or are used with permission. You may view and use the site for personal purposes. You may not reproduce or commercially use our material without prior written permission. You must not use the site unlawfully or interfere with its normal operation.

9. Privacy

We process personal data as explained in our Privacy Policy.

10. Complaints and contact

If you have a question or complaint about an order, please email info@swedish-vintage.com and include your name and order or item details. We will work with you to resolve the matter.

11. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections under the law that applies in your country of residence. Any dispute will be handled by the court with jurisdiction under applicable law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to an order is the version in force when that order is confirmed. Changes do not alter an existing agreement retroactively unless required by law or agreed with you.
