The IKEA Allen Key Light was created for the IKEA Art Event 2021 by the Japanese design studio Gelchop. The lamp takes the shape of an oversized Allen key, turning a familiar piece of flat-pack furniture equipment into a playful light.
When illuminated, the IKEA Allen Key Light creates a vibrant glow. Its unusual silhouette works well on a desk, shelf or side table in a home office, studio or living room. The design brings together humour, function and IKEA’s familiar do-it-yourself heritage.
IKEA Allen Key Light by Gelchop
Gelchop is known for transforming everyday objects into visual design statements. This lamp follows that approach closely. The oversized tool shape gives the light an immediate conversation-starting quality, while the compact format remains easy to display.
The lamp uses a USB connector for power. You can also combine multiple Allen Key lamps to create a larger installation or a playful arrangement. This makes the piece suitable for collectors as well as for interiors that enjoy bold graphic objects.
Please study the photographs carefully for the exact condition and appearance. The lamp is an original IKEA Art Event design from 2021. Check the USB connection and electrical setup before use.
