Description

This rare vintage wooden chair from the 1950s combines a simple three-legged frame with a distinctive triangular woven rattan seat. The unusual proportions and handcrafted appearance give it a strong rustic character. It works as a functional chair, an occasional seat or a striking design object in a collection.

Triangular rattan seat and wooden frame

The triangular seat is the main visual feature. Its woven surface adds texture, while the wooden structure keeps the form grounded. In addition, the three legs create a clear and slightly unusual silhouette that looks interesting from every angle. The chair’s straightforward construction reflects the practical spirit of mid-century handmade furniture.

Use the chair beside a table, in a hallway or as a standalone accent in a living room. Its natural materials combine easily with other wood, rattan and woven textiles. Because the design is compact, it can also add character to a smaller interior without taking up much floor space.
