Raak – Cube Light – Paul Driessen – Dutch – 1970s

Originally, Paul Driessen designed this Raak Cube Light for Raak in 1974. In addition, the lamp appears to hold a floating opaline perspex cube, creating a graphic and architectural effect when it is switched on.

The design dates from the same year that Piet Blom built the first cube houses. Both designs use a strong geometric structure, which makes this lamp especially suitable for a Dutch design or postmodern interior.

For example, use the lamp as a floor light or console lamp. Place it beside a sofa, on a sideboard or near an entrance to create a sculptural light source. Moreover, the cubic form contrasts beautifully with round furniture and soft textiles.

Moreover, Raak Amsterdam made the lamp in the Netherlands. It shows minor signs of age and use, including light scratches and dents. Finally, please study the photographs carefully for the exact appearance of the perspex, frame and surface.
