Olivier Villatte – Totem Lamp – Wood – France – 1980s

This Olivier Villatte Totem lamp from France dates from the 1980s. The design combines a sculptural wooden body with bright colours and a playful character. One body, two arms and a head represented by the bulb give the lamp its distinctive totem-like appearance.

Rather than functioning as a purely practical light, this lamp also acts as a decorative object. Furthermore, it brings colour and personality to a living room, studio, bedroom or creative workspace. Place it beside a chair, on a console or in a reading corner to create a strong visual accent.

Colourful 1980s wooden floor lamp

Olivier Villatte used a simple, expressive construction. In addition, the wooden body creates a warm material contrast to the bright colours, while the two arms add a playful sense of movement. As a result, the lamp works especially well in interiors with postmodern, Memphis-inspired or eclectic details.

The lampshade requires replacement. Nevertheless, you can use the lamp as it is, depending on the desired look. Finally, please study the photographs carefully for the exact appearance, colours and present condition.
