Louis Kalff (1897-1976) designed many iconic lamps for Philips Holland. This design dates from the 1950s and has the model name ‘Bijou’, which means ‘jewel’ in French. The design is timeless, so that this lamp still has a modern look. The shade is made of aluminium, the inside of which has a light color to increase the reflection of the light. The shade and stand are lacquered matt green. The base has a warm gold/bronze colour. A beautiful lamp that fits into any contemporary interior.
