Ilu Teepee / Tipi Lamp – Milk Glass – France – 1970s

This Ilu Teepee, also known as Tipi, table lamp dates from France in the 1970s. The cone-shaped name references a tipi, while the geometric form gives the lamp a clear Bauhaus-inspired character.

The lamp is made from milk glass with a crystal-clear tip. When switched on, the light shines through the glass in an atmospheric way. Place it on a desk, side table, console or bedside table.

1970s geometric milk-glass lamp

The simple geometry makes the lamp easy to combine with modernist furniture, Scandinavian design and postmodern decoration. In addition, the pale glass creates a calm presence when the lamp is not lit.

Please study the photographs carefully for the exact appearance of the glass, tip and present condition.
