IKEA – Vimsig Kullig – Set of 3 – Space Age – Wall Panels – 00s

A rare set of three Vimsig Kullig wall panels by IKEA, dating from the 2000s. These reflective plastic panels are often also referred to as “Blimp Kullig” and have a strong space-age look, with their convex mirrored surface and geometric grid pattern. Swedish Vintage notes that they were only available for a relatively short period, which helps explain why they do not turn up very often today.

The design sits somewhere between wall decoration, mirror object and pop-art installation. Each panel measures about 31 x 31 cm, with a depth of roughly 3 cm, and auction and resale listings consistently describe them as mirrored or chrome-look plastic wall panels. Your set is especially appealing because it still comes with the original packaging and instruction sheet, which gives it a stronger collector feel.
