IKEA – Västerön – Orange Stool – 2015

This orange IKEA Västerön stool dates from 2015 and belongs to a design series that also included a bench. Its compact proportions make it useful as an extra seat, a low side table or a small accent in a living room, hallway or children’s room. The bright orange colour gives the simple form a cheerful, recognisable appearance.

The stool is easy to move when you need an additional seat. Alternatively, place it beside a sofa for books or a drink, or use it as a low stand for a plant or design object. Because the footprint is only 36 by 36 cm, it works well in smaller rooms and flexible interiors.

Västerön pieces have become harder to find since their original release. Therefore, this stool is an appealing choice for collectors of later IKEA design. It can also be combined with other orange accents or balanced with neutral furniture and natural materials.
