IKEA – Table Lamp – B9409 – Memphis Style – Italy – 1990s

This IKEA B9409 table lamp is a small Italian table lamp from the 1990s. The lamp has a clear Memphis style look. It combines a playful shape with strong colours. Therefore, it works well as a decorative lamp and as a small design object.

IKEA B9409 table lamp

IKEA made many bold designs in the late 1980s and early 1990s. This B9409 table lamp fits that period well. The shape feels simple, but the colours give it energy. In addition, the lamp has a compact size, so it is easy to place.

You can use it on a side table, desk, shelf or bedside table. Also, it can add a playful accent to a Memphis inspired interior. Because the lamp is not large, it brings character without taking over the room.

Memphis style from the 1990s

The lamp has that classic Memphis Milano vibe from the early 1990s. The design feels cheerful and graphic. As a result, it pairs well with colourful ceramics, postmodern furniture and other vintage lighting.

This lamp is in almost new condition. Therefore, it is a strong example for collectors of IKEA lighting and 1990s design.
