Description

This IKEA Stoja lamp is a colourful Memphis style design from around 1990. The yellow and red finish gives the lamp a graphic presence, while the combination of wood and acrylic adds contrast and texture. Its compact format works well as an accent light in a hallway, bedroom, study or living room.

The Stoja series is sometimes incorrectly attributed to Ettore Sottsass. IKEA has confirmed that this claim is false, and the designer is unknown. The series first appeared around 1990, while this desk lamp was included in the 1991 IKEA catalogue.
