IKEA – Plastic Rattan Pouf – Woven – 1990s

This vintage IKEA plastic rattan pouf from the 1990s combines a woven plastic seat with a sturdy metal frame. The autumn orange and green colours create a warm, playful accent, while the low shape keeps the pouf easy to place. It can work as a footrest, a low occasional seat or a compact decorative object.

Woven plastic IKEA pouf

The seat imitates the texture of natural rattan but uses plastic strips instead. As a result, the pouf has a distinctive woven appearance with a practical, graphic surface. The orange and green combination stands out beside neutral furniture and also pairs naturally with other colourful 1990s design pieces.

Its low height makes the pouf useful in front of a lounge chair or sofa. You can also place it beside a bed, in a children’s room or under a console when it is not in use. In addition, the compact round shape is easy to move around the room.
