IKEA – Isak – Folding Chair – Turquoise – Set of 2 – Niels Gammelgaard – 1989

Turquoise IKEA Isak chairs, set of two

These IKEA Isak chairs bring a bright turquoise accent to a practical folding design. Niels Gammelgaard designed the model for IKEA, and it first appeared in the 1989 catalogue. Made in Italy, the chairs combine turquoise plexiglass seats with chrome-plated metal frames.

The price is for the set of two. Their matching colour creates a coordinated pair, while the slim frames keep the appearance simple. Use them together at a table or as extra seats when visitors arrive.

Colour and flexible seating

The turquoise IKEA Isak chairs can add colour without filling the room with bulky furniture. For example, place them beside a neutral table for a clear contrast. Alternatively, combine them with other colourful vintage pieces for a more playful interior.

The folding construction allows you to put the chairs away between uses. This is useful in a dining area that also serves as a workspace. In addition, the compact footprint makes the pair easy to arrange in different parts of the home.

Each chair is 41 cm wide and 42 cm deep, with a seat height of 43 cm. Check these measurements against your table and available floor space. Leave enough room to sit down comfortably and move around the seating area. Plan a suitable storage spot if you intend to fold them away regularly.

Condition and dimensions

Both chairs are in good original vintage condition. They have superficial scratches on the seats and traces of use on the bases. One chair also has a small area of rust on the back of one leg. Please examine the photographs for these details before ordering.
