IKEA – Isak – Folding Chair – Set of 4 – Black with chrome – Niels Gammelgaard – 1989

Black IKEA Isak folding chairs, set of four

These IKEA Isak folding chairs combine black plexiglass seats with chrome metal frames. Niels Gammelgaard designed Isak for IKEA, and the model first appeared in the 1989 catalogue. Made in Italy, this set offers a simple, practical approach to occasional seating.

The price is for all four chairs. Their matching black seats give the group a consistent appearance, while the chrome frames add a bright contrast. You can use them together around a table or keep them ready for visitors.

A practical vintage seating set

The IKEA Isak folding chairs are useful where seating needs change. For example, bring them out when guests arrive, then fold them away afterwards. This makes them a sensible option for a dining area or a room that serves several purposes.

The black seats work easily with both light and dark furniture. Meanwhile, the metal frames give the design a clear, uncluttered outline. Place them around a simple table to let the combination of materials stand out.

Each chair measures 41 cm wide and 42 cm deep. Before ordering, compare these dimensions with the space around your table. Also check the 43 cm seat height against the table height. If you plan to store the chairs between uses, consider a suitable place for the folded frames.

Original condition and measurements

All four chairs are in good original vintage condition. The seats have superficial scratches, and the bases show traces of use. Please review the photographs for the surfaces and frame details. These marks are part of the condition of the actual set offered here.
