IKEA – Föremål Candlestick Holders – Set of 2 – Per B. Sundberg – 2018

These IKEA Föremål candlestick holders were designed by Per B. Sundberg for a limited IKEA edition in 2018. IKEA sold the series in only 16 stores throughout Sweden. Therefore, this pair is appealing to collectors of contemporary IKEA design. Each holder carries the artist’s signature on the bottom.

Föremål candlestick holders by Per B. Sundberg

IKEA presented Föremål as a collection of “conversation pieces”. The objects bring unusual shapes and artistic character into everyday interiors. These holders follow that idea with their sculptural appearance and carefully considered proportions. Together, the two pieces create a varied display on a sideboard, shelf or dining table.

The limited-edition background gives the set extra interest. At the same time, the holders remain easy to combine with modern furniture, vintage ceramics and other decorative objects. In addition, the signatures provide a clear point of identification for collectors.
