Hans-Agne Jakobsson – Lamingo T742 Ceiling Lamp – Brass – Markaryd – 1970s

Hans-Agne Jakobsson designed this Lamingo T742 ceiling lamp, and his own company made it during the 1970s in Markaryd, Sweden. Aluminium lamellas form the shade; brass lacquer covers the outside and white paint covers the inside.

When you switch on the lamp, the layered lamellas create a warm, reflective glow. At the same time, the open construction gives the shade a light and architectural appearance. It works well above a dining table, in a living room, hallway or bedroom.

1970s Hans-Agne Jakobsson lighting

In particular, Hans-Agne Jakobsson was known for expressive lighting designs that combine material, structure and atmosphere. The Lamingo T742 shows that approach clearly. The brass exterior adds warmth, while the white interior helps reflect the light into the room.

The lamp has one E27 lamp socket and remains in excellent condition with almost no signs of age. Finally, please study the photographs for the most accurate view of the brass lacquer, lamellas and cable arrangement.
