Fase Madrid – President – Desk Lamp – Spain – 1960s

The Fase Madrid President desk lamp dates from the 1960s and was designed and produced by Fase in Spain. Its sleek futuristic profile combines a chrome finish with a swivelling head and adjustable arm. The unusual shape makes it a distinctive desk lamp for a study, office or reading corner.

The adjustable construction lets you direct the light where you need it. At the same time, the chrome surface and clean lines give the lamp a strong mid-century modern character. Its broad proportions create a clear presence on a desk or side table, while the moving head adds practical flexibility.

This model works well in a modern workspace, but it also complements vintage office furniture and Space Age interiors. In addition, the reflective finish contrasts nicely with wood, leather and darker materials. The result is a functional lamp that remains visually interesting when it is switched off.
