Doria – Big Ball – Table Lamp – Germany – 1970s

The Doria Big Ball table lamp is a striking 1970s design classic from Germany. Its large, hand-blown glass globe creates a soft and atmospheric presence. Natural bubbles in the glass show the character of the handmade production. These details make every Doria Big Ball table lamp distinctive.

The rounded globe gives the lamp a strong sculptural quality. At the same time, the light creates a warm point of focus on a side table, console or low cabinet. The light bulbs are included, so the lamp can immediately become part of an interior. Its generous proportions also make it suitable as a statement object in a larger room.

Hand-blown glass table lamp

The Doria Big Ball table lamp has the same expressive glass character as the matching ceiling lamp. You can view the ceiling version here. The hand-blown surface gives the globe a lively appearance. Small bubbles remain visible and underline the handmade process.

This table lamp is in great condition. The height measures 44 cm and the diameter measures 40 cm. These dimensions give the lamp a clear presence without losing the simplicity of the spherical form. It works well in a vintage, modernist or Scandinavian interior.
