Description

This sculptural Italian wall lamp from the 1970s uses smoked glass with layered hanging panels and frosted oval details. Warm amber tones, a mirrored metal backplate and a graphic silhouette give the lamp a strong Space Age character. When you switch it on, the glass creates depth and a soft atmosphere on the wall.

Smoked glass wall lamp attributed to Vistosi

The layered construction makes the lamp interesting from different angles. The smoked glass panels overlap the light source, while the frosted oval details add contrast to the darker amber tones. In addition, the mirrored backplate creates extra reflection and helps the piece stand out in a hallway, living room or bedroom.

The design has the expressive character associated with Italian lighting from the late 1960s and 1970s. Therefore, its warm colour works well beside wood, brass and other vintage materials. We describe the lamp as attributed to Vistosi because the manufacturer remains unconfirmed. This wording keeps the attribution accurate and transparent.
