Artifort Oyster – F156 – Pierre Paulin – 1960s

This is the Artifort Oyster F156 designed by Pierre Paulin for Artifort in the 1960s. Artifort started making this design classic in 1959. This reupholstered armchair has a wonderful seating comfort. The Artifort Oyster is available in two sizes. The large version model 157 (men’s armchair) and the small version model 156 (ladies’ armchair). This 156 version has been in production for a shorter time, has never been re-released and is therefore rarer. The condition is good. It has been reupholstered quite some time ago so it probably needs new upholstery. The frame is still very nice, no breaks and/or repairs, normal wear and patina.
