Pierre Paulin AP-14 Anneau Lounge Chairs – Set of 2 – 1950s

This pair of vintage Pierre Paulin AP-14 Anneau lounge chairs brings sculptural mid-century design to a living room, reading corner or studio. Pierre Paulin designed the model, and A. Polak produced it in the Netherlands. Each chair combines a tubular steel frame with a suspended fabric sling seat and back. As a result, the open frame looks light while the broad, low seat creates a relaxed place to sit.

Design of the AP-14 Anneau chair

Collectors also call the AP-14 the Anneau chair. Paulin’s early seating design uses a continuous metal frame to support the curved sling seat and back. Moreover, the simple outline makes the pair easy to place beside a sofa or use as standalone accent chairs.
